Spotless is dedicated to building enduring and supportive relationships with indigenous communities, including fostering employment and business opportunities.
Our unique mix of locations, services, and demographic spread showcases our diverse workforce. The size and geographic scope of our business means that we offer a high level of employment opportunities nationally.
Spotless seeks to achieve positive indigenous engagement that develops and supports the needs of our clients, the community and indigenous people. We comply with the Australian Government’s Indigenous Training, Employment and Supplier Plan (IOP Plan) and we are a professional member of Supply Nation.
Our Indigenous Employee Program consists of:
- Youth (school leavers up to 24 years of age)
- Work experience
- Traineeships and on the job training
- Pre-employment training programs
We understand that reducing cultural gaps and encouraging cultural awareness are important issues when ensuring long-term opportunities are available to indigenous people. Therefore we have implemented pro-active strategies that enable us to adapt to cultural and environmental sensitivities.
Our processes are underpinned by our Indigenous Engagement Plan which is adapted to individual contracts and their requirements. Spotless managers are responsible for implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of the plan to meet our indigenous engagement employment targets.
As part of our employment programs we have established and manage business relationships with Job Seekers Australia, Aboriginal Employment Strategy, Supply Nation, local community groups, traditional owners and schools.
