Spotless’ electrical and technology services group, Nuvo, has been selected by Cockram Construction to work on a critical expansion project at the John Fawkner Hospital in Victoria.
Nuvo’s electrical package for the state-of-the-art facility will include auditing and testing, cabling protection, switchboard installation, generator replacement, identification of in-ground services and demolition works.
The successful completion of previous hospital projects has enhanced Nuvo‘s excellent reputation in the health sector and was a key factor in securing the contract.
“We are excited to provide cutting-edge technology for this important redevelopment that will help meet the growing healthcare needs of Melbourne’s northern suburbs,” said Nuvo CEO and Spotless Group Executive – Corporate Development Paul McMurtrie. “It will provide an additional 51 beds, two new operating theatres and additional waiting and storage areas.”
The expansion will also provide for 70 extra on-site parking spaces to alleviate impacts on local streets. All redevelopment building works will be coordinated to ensure minimum disruption to patients, visitors and the surrounding community.
John Fawkner Hospital is the largest private hospital in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, having cared for upwards of 25,000 patients during the past years.
