Now in its fifth year, the Gingerbread Village by EPICURE returns to the Melbourne Town Hall from December 1st, until Christmas Eve.
EPICURE’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Deniz Karaca and his talented team of gingerbread specialists spent many months to bring the 30m long Gingerbread Village to life.
This year, the EPICURE team worked hard to craft the newest addition into the village, the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix track, amongst other Melbourne icons.
Comprising of an impressive 500 kilograms of gingerbread, 360 kilograms of royal icing, 150 kilograms of marzipan and approximately 800 miniature Christmas trees for the festive backdrop, the annual creation takes Deniz and his four chefs 2000 hours to make.
For a nominal gold coin donation, the gingerbread miniature-land will raise proceeds for Make-A-Wish Australia.
