On the 21st and 22nd of November 2016, 45 enthusiastic coders, hackers, tinkerers, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts unleashed their talents across 36 hours as part of the inaugural Spotless Hackathon hosted at the MCG.
Spotless Hack at the ‘G’ is part of Spotless’ focus on driving innovation across our business. It is also an example of how we are working in the innovation ecosystem – collaborating with start-ups, universities, suppliers research institutes as well as our customers to bring new solutions to market.
The Spotless Hackathon, themed around the ‘Internet of Things’ and Data Tech, invited Australia’s top creative minds in the tech and startup communities to create real solutions to enhance Spotless’ offering across food and venue management, facilities and asset maintenance, cleaning, waste management and security.
AFL Coaches Association CEO, Mark Brayshaw, set the scene with a locker room pep-speech before the hackers started building real working prototypes. The top five teams presented their concepts to an audience at the MCG and were awarded cash and other prizes.
