Australian cricket team, Sydney Thunder, will soon host its games at Spotless Stadium.
Redeveloped in 2011, Spotless Stadium has a cricket capacity of more than 22,000 and has one of the biggest in-stadium screens in the Southern Hemisphere.
After the success of two Sydney Thunder games at Spotless Stadium, Sydney Thunder’s General Manager Nick Cummins believes the new stadium will create an unmatched atmosphere in the Big Bash League (BBL).
“We believe that we have the best stadium in Australia to watch BBL cricket.”
“I’d also like to thank Daryl Kerry and the ANZ Stadium Management team for their excellent support over the first four years of our history. Their professional approach sets them as the benchmark for venue operators in New South Wales.”
The Royal Agricultural Society’s General Manager of Sydney Showground, Peter Thorpe, is looking forward to having the Thunder on board:
“We’re over the moon that Spotless Stadium has been chosen as home to the Sydney Thunder for the next 10 years, Spotless Stadium is an incredibly family-friendly venue and has a unique intimate atmosphere.”
