Spotless provides integrated utilities services – from meter reading and preventative and reactive maintenance to minor and major capital works — to Sydney Water, across 1,580 master sites and 2,500 facilities in our role as Head Contractor. Spotless company, Skilltech, has been carrying out meter reading on behalf of Sydney Water since 2014, and meter field services – meter replacement, repairs, installations, restrictions and reconnections – since 2012. Our meter field services cover the full Sydney Water footprint with a 24/7 service level agreement.
For the last 10 years our qualified plumbers have provided residential plumbing services to Sydney Water’s customers through their WaterFix service and their hardship program Plumbassist. These programs offer a range of plumbing services that aim to reduce water waste and make homes water efficient.
In the recent City of Sydney’s sponsored environmental survey, the WaterFix program has highlighted several positive outcomes. Since the program started, water use at Windsor Plaza has been reduced by 34%, saving approximately $44,000 and Museum Towers, on Castlereagh Street, has reduced its water use by 27%, amounting to savings of $33,700 a year. Great initial outcomes that we look forward to improving on.
