EPICURE wins at 2014 Meeting & Events Australia Victorian Awards
On March 26, EPICURE won three Awards at the 2014 Meeting & Events Australia (MEA) Victorian Awards event, held in Melbourne.
MEA is a national, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to servicing the needs of the meetings and events industry, promoting professionalism and excellence in all aspects of meetings and event management.
One of EPICURE’s flagship venues, ZINC at Federation Square, won the Award for ‘Specialty Event Venue’, demonstrating that ZINC holds a most important position in the food catering and events management industry.
ZINC Venue Manager, Debbie Vukovic, commented on the win:
“ZINC holds a prime position in Melbourne’s Federation Square. With views across the Yarra River and promenade, bountiful natural light, two large outdoor decks, and a recently refurbished fit-out that retains its contemporary aura, it’s a delight that this space remains in such high regard.”
Another highlight for the evening was the announcement of MCG Sales Executive Monika Juric, who was awarded the Young MEA Future Leader Award.
Since being with EPICURE for four years, the 25 year old has already made a great impression on the industry:
“It was an amazing night and such an honour to receive this recognition in the presence of the events industry. I’m passionate about events and am extremely grateful to the leaders who guide and support me on a daily basis. I couldn’t have done it without the support of the EPICURE team.”
EPICURE also won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award, winning across all three categories for its multiple sites at Hawthorn Arts Centre, ZINC and the MCG.
EPICURE’s Victorian State Manager for Leisure, Sports & Entertainment, David Mercer, said:
“We constantly aim to offer excellence not only with our innovative menus and unique venues, but also the ability to offer a premium experience through our team that consistently exceeds client expectations. Awards are always a pleasure to receive, as it validates that the EPICURE team is constantly delivering at the highest level.”
All Victorian state finalists will go to the National Awards that will be held from May 24-26.
