Resources team support Clontarf Foundation’s Jabiru Academy

As part of our partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, Spotless employees, Joshua Southon and Michael Grist from our Resources sector have been working closely with students from the Jabiru Academy in the Northern Territory.

Michael and Joshua regularly visit the Academy to mentor students in activities that can be used outside of school in the home and in the future, for life after school.

Our partnership gives us the opportunity to work closely with Indigenous communities, businesses and our clients in diverse regions.

The Jabiru Clontarf Academy engages its students through leadership activities to build well-being and self-esteem and has seen many positive outcomes including an increase in school attendance.

After identifying that Arnhem Lightning team did not have a full football kit, Joshua and Michael organised for Spotless to donate full uniforms for the three Arnhem academies of Jabiru, Gunbalanya and Yirrkala teams.  They both thought it was very important for the students to all wear the same uniform to instil a sense of unity and comradeship for the geographically diverse team.

Jabiru students are very excited to now compete in their new uniforms at the Arnhem academies AFL carnival, with the academy teams representing the Arnhem Lightning team at the annual Northern Carnival and Territory Cup.

Spotless applauds both Joshua and Michael for their community work and we look forward to future community building initiatives with our partner.
