RMIT exclusively asked Nuvo Group to work in collaboration with designated architects, builders and furniture providers to transform existing ‘dead’ spaces of the university into functional lounge areas with all the modern conveniences to entice students to not only use the spaces, but to stay, linger, lounge, eat and learn with their fellow colleagues.
Nuvo Group completed upgrades to the electrical and technological infrastructure at various student lounges across RMIT campuses. This included the installation of new LED lighting, combination Legrande USBGPO’s for personal devices, Krone 25-year accredited Cat6a cabling for wireless access points, as well as the provision of microwaves and coffee machines for added student comfort.
The Nuvo team worked across multiple weekends to deliver over 30 individual student lounge spaces whilst students were unaware of the transformation. With a commitment to safety and deadlines, the project was delivered in seamless fashion for immediate use on the scheduled Monday morning.
